Notes
Beautiful delicate fluffy excellent hay. And very nicely packaged. Highly recommend this farm/company!
Green and smells super fresh! My piggies have 3 types of hay and they go for this one !
Teff grass is good for animals that are overweight, the hay was super fresh and our guinea pig love it, none is ever left behind. It's super soft and chopped in about 2 inch strips. If you're looking for a healthy and organic hay this is an excellent option.
Both of my rabbits really liked this hay. It is a medium 48oz bag. It's a great size for adding variety to my rabbit's usual timothy for enrichment. I also like that it is higher in fiber, because one of my buns has gotten a bit hefty and needs extra fiber for dieting.
Blue Mountain Hay Fresh Teff Grass is a reasonable choice for small animals. The hay comes in a plastic resealable bag and has a nice fresh scent on opening. The hay is thinner thank first cut timothy hay and is apparently lower in calories than timothy hay or alfalfa. Our rabbit would eat the hay when mixed in with her usual feed but was not as enamored of it as she was with plain timothy hay. I don't think that this is a problem with the product; it's more likely that our rabbit is used to timothy hay or prefers that taste. The hay is high quality, fresh, and was packaged well. It is good for rabbits and guinea pigs and other small animals that consume hay. Given my rabbit's preferences, I don't think I would buy this again, but I would buy other products from Blue Mountain Hay, as they appear to adhere to a high standard.
