Carefully Harvested & Packed Hand-harvested and minimally handled to preserve aroma, texture, and nutrients. Boxed in-house for freshness.
Growth & Nutrients
High-Altitude Hay: Grows slowly in cool mountain air, allowing more time to develop rich nutrients.
Regular Hay: Grows quickly in warm climates, and less time = fewer nutrients.
Texture
High-Altitude Hay: Soft and leafy - gentle on teeth, easy to chew.
Regular Hay: Coarse and stemmy - tougher to chew, may cause dental strain.
Digestibility
High-Altitude Hay: Easier to digest = better nutrient absorption.
Regular Hay: Harder to digest = more waste, fewer nutrients absorbed.
Animal Preference
High-Altitude Hay: Animals love it - they eat more and feel better.
Regular Hay: Often rejected or wasted by picky eaters.
Long-Term Health
High-Altitude Hay: Can support healthy digestion and reduce vet visits.
Regular Hay: May lead to digestive issues and higher long-term care costs.
Love it!!! The domestic & wild critters are having a "hay day" with this hay and the seed head treats. Terrible winter storm hit here in New England, I went out and left some out in case the wild critters needed a little help. Makes life in 2 feet of snow a little easier to survive. Thank you!

Fresh and high-quality hay for small pets!
Blue Mountain Fresh Timothy Hay is excellent quality and my small pets love it! The hay is fresh, fragrant, and soft, making it easy for rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas to nibble on. I noticed my pets are eating more and seem happier since switching to this brand. The 24-ounce bag is a convenient size, and the high-altitude sourcing really seems to make a difference in freshness and taste. It’s suitable for all ages and provides the fiber my pets need for good digestion.Overall, this is a reliable, healthy, and tasty hay option for small animals. Highly recommend for anyone looking to keep their pets happy and healthy!

My bunnies like it!
My rabbits seem to like this Timothy hay. The package boasts that this is "high-altitude" hay, which is supposed to make the hay more nutrient rich and more flavorful. I can't attest to any of those benefits, but can report that my rabbits seem to eat it with the same enthusiasm as the other Timothy hay we've gotten. We usually order first or second cuts (I'm not sure which cut this brand is, as I didn't see that part listed anywhere on the package). It smells fresh and was well packaged. The nutritional information on the bag indicatesThe protein, fat, sugar and fiber content which all seem within the range of normal for rabbits to eat. This product would also work for feeding guinea pigs, gerbils, and chinchillas. The package is pretty large and seems like a good deal.
